In our center we believe that the parents are the children's first teacher, and our purpose is to assist parents in the rearing of their children by providing a safe, comforting and creative environment where they will be motivated to learn. We believe that children learn by experimentation through hands-on experiences, positive social interactions with adults and other children, and a well-planned environment; therefore, the children gear our daily curriculum by allowing them the freedom to express their interests and choose their own activities in a flexible and supportive environment. We understand that play with purpose is the primary and most valuable learning tool for children, which contributes to the social, emotional, intellectual and physical development of the children. Therefore we provide a balace of teacher planned and child initiated activities.

Here at the Learning Spot Child Development Center we believe that all children must be treated iwth encouragement, respect, honesty, compassion, affection and love.

Curriculum is presented to children of all ages, ranging from 18 months to 6 years old. Children work cooperatively in small groups to reach developmental milestones and school readines through exploring, experimenting and repetition.

At The Learning Spot Child Development Center we recognize that you have a difficult schedule and support parents the best we can. We offer drop-in care and early drop-off and late pick-up so that your schedule can be accommodated. We recognize the importance of work, and the stress and demands placed on parents. We strive to make it easier on parents by giving them the knowledge that their children are in good hands.
